Couples may have personality, intimacy, communication or sexual difficulties. Given that people are raised very differently and that they have different genetic traits, this is understandable. Affairs or ‘flings’ can also devastate (but not always destroy) a marriage.
We believe that, prior to seeking a separation, a couple would be best helped by putting everything they have into trying to make the marriage work. Then, if it does not, they may wish to consider a separation, but one that is marked by decency and dignity rather than hurt and anger.
